Silverado or Sierra?
It's the question we get most, and the honest answer is that they're close relatives. Chevy and GMC build them on shared underpinnings, so towing and payload are comparable trim for trim. What actually differs is the interior, the styling, and how far up the ladder each brand goes — GMC pushes further into premium with Denali and AT4X.
Most dealers can only sell you one side of that comparison. We sell both, so we can park them next to each other and let you sit in each. That's usually what settles it — not a spec sheet.
1500, HD, or midsize?
Silverado 1500 / Sierra 1500 — the right truck for most buyers. Tows a bass boat, a small camper, or a landscape trailer without complaint, and still drives like something you'd want to commute in.
Silverado 2500HD / Sierra 2500HD & 3500HD — for real, repeated towing: gooseneck trailers, livestock, equipment. If you're pulling heavy every week, you'll know it. If you're towing twice a summer, an HD is more truck (and more fuel) than you need.
Colorado / Canyon — the midsize pair. Easier to park, cheaper to run, and far more capable than people assume. If your truck is mostly a daily driver that hauls occasionally, start here instead of defaulting bigger.
A lot of buyers step up to more truck than their actual towing requires. Tell us what you're pulling and how often, and we'll point you at the right one — even when that's the cheaper one.
Trims you'll see on our lot
Our new-truck inventory runs well-equipped. If you're looking specifically for a stripped work truck, tell us and we'll source one — but here's what's typically in stock:
Trail Boss & Custom Trail Boss (Silverado) — lifted suspension and off-road hardware on a 1500, without the full ZR2 commitment.
AT4 & AT4X (Sierra) — GMC's off-road answer; AT4X is the serious one.
LTZ & High Country (Chevrolet) — the comfortable end of the Silverado range.
SLT, Denali & Denali Ultimate (GMC) — Denali Ultimate is the most loaded truck we stock.
ZR2 (Colorado) & AT4 / Elevation (Canyon) — the midsize off-road and daily-driver picks.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a Chevy Silverado and a GMC Sierra?
They share the same fundamental platform, so capability is comparable trim for trim. The Sierra leans more premium — GMC goes further up-market with Denali and AT4X — while the Silverado is the value-focused choice. Pearl sells both, so you can compare them side by side in one visit.
Do I need a heavy-duty truck?
Only if you tow heavy and often — gooseneck trailers, livestock, or equipment. For a bass boat, a small camper, or a landscape trailer, a Silverado 1500 or Sierra 1500 handles it and costs less to run. Tell us what you're pulling and we'll tell you honestly.
Do you stock midsize trucks?
Yes — the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. They're easier to park, cheaper to run, and more capable than most buyers assume. Current stock is shown above.
